One of our commerical photography images was recently selected for the very first cover of Aspired Home magazine. We were of course flattered and even more excited to learn that the image came in third in their international competition.
Aspired Home is an international real estate staging, home decor lifestyle magazine with Bobbie McGrath, of Successful Staging, a local staging expert, on staff as the technical staging editor. We work closely with Bobbie photographing many of the premier homes in the area that she stages for one of the areas top residential real estate firms – InTrust Realty. We always love working with Bobbie because she works closely with the homeowners to successfully stage their homes to sell! The homes she’s staged always look fantastic and magazine ready when we come in to photograph. Bobbie always tells us that our high quality professional images really make her work shine, so it’s a great partnership that helps Lee Goldstein and his team at InTrust Realty get their clients’ homes sold fast!
I had the pleasure of working with and creating a professional head shot for a new real estate agent recently. Leigh Ann is transitioning into her new career as a residential real estate agent in the Raleigh area and had just recently passed the real estate exam. She was super excited about her new career and wanted to make a great impression with potential clients with a professional image on her business card and the website. We worked with her to choose the right background and outfit that would work well with the company business card color scheme and other places it would be used. I love working with real estate agents and being a small part of helping get their new careers off on the right foot!

I love a challenge when it comes to photography, and shooting interior architecture, well, never lets you down. From the mixed lighting (color temperatures), to the wide dynamic range of light, and even the editing required, they all present their share of challenges.
I had the opportunity to photograph a new retirement community center for a prominent national builder recently and they needed interior and exterior images of the community center for entry in a national competition (no pressure, right). So I knew I had to pull out all the “technical big guns” for this shoot, from carefully planned composition to multiple exposure HDR techniques to custom editing in Light Room and Photoshop. Fun stuff for photographers! The bottom line for me is that I was able to deliver some really unique images for my client that can be used to showcase their new facility to potential clients and help grow their business! That’s a win-win.
I recently had a former student from one of my photography classes contact me about creating a professional business head shot for her. She was finalizing her real estate agent training and needed a professional image to use for social media, real estate web sites, and for her business cards. We looked at the colors on the company card, talked about the look she wanted, and designed a head shot image with a modern hi key background that would work perfectly on her business card. I love working with clients to design just the right look to help them present a nice polished professional image to their target audience.
A few images from a recent shoot for Lee Goldstein at InTrust Realty. Lee and his team are great to work with and usually have the homes staged by a professional stager before I photograph them. This makes the home look fantastic for the seller and generally gets the homes sold much quicker.
After the home is prepped, I then incorporate HDR photography (blending multiple images at different exposures) for the outdoor shots. We do this so we can shoot mid day if needed and still show the blue sky as well as the darker shaded areas of the home without the drastic contrast normal digital images would show. We also shoot & stitch multi image panoramic photos for some of the interior views so we can show the full view of the important rooms in the home. After that, we of course fully edit all the images, crop & resize for MLS requirements and then deliver to the agent. Needless to say, we do quite a bit more than the typical real estate photographer in order to deliver the best images possible for our agents and their clients.
