It’s been a busy summer and we’ve been behind on blog updates so please forgive! 🙂
Over two separate evening shoots, we had the privilege of meeting and photographing all of the Wake Radiology physicians and some of their administrative staff. Despite the size of this project, the process was smooth and efficient because of our up front planning and coordination with Wake’s marketing director Amy Woolard. Amy was fantastic to work with and we partnered with her to create a full suite of updated images to use for all of their marketing projects. There were 6 poses of each physician for a total of roughly 300 final images. The images included a left, right and center facing view in lab coats and in business suits. We edited and retouched all the images and extracted the subjects from the original green screen background so they could use the images in any type of marketing campaign they came up with the in future.
It was such a pleasure working so closely with Amy to plan the shoot. So fun meeting the many people that are the backbone of this great organization as well. Thanks to Wake Radiology, the doctors, staff and especially Amy, for turning a major project into a cake walk. Below are Amy’s comments & feedback in her own words and a few of the final extracted images.
“Working with Charlie Dickens on our corporate photography has been fantastic experience. He worked closely with me to get 50+ physicians photographed over a 2 day period and it went off without a hitch. He was in close contact leading up to the event and we talked through everything from usage to backdrops, positions to Photoshop editing which ensured that he was capturing exactly what we wanted. Charlie’s calm and friendly demeanor put the physicians at ease allowing him to capture relaxed natural smiles. None of the photos we were provided look fake or forced. Thanks Charlie for turning a daunting task into a cake walk”. Amy Woolard – Marketing Manager – Wake Radiology – Raleigh, NC
Great session yesterday in the studio with the Rich Commercial Realty team. We photographed hi key (brighter background) images to match some images already on their website and in keeping with the clean, crisp, modern look that looks and works great for real estate head shots. They were all thrilled with the look and results and I really enjoyed working with all of them. If you ever need buyers representation for commercial space, I highly recommend them! Michelle owns the company, is super personable and has been in business for well over two decades.
A recent session with Maria Copp of MPX First Data. She is a trusted colleague that I would highly recommend for credit card processing services. She is all about the relationship and adding value to her clients’ businesses. As we talked during the session, I quickly found out how little I know and how knowledgeable Maria is in her field. Great session, another satisfied client and a polished, updated professional image for Maria that will serve her well for the next few years!
A professional business head shot we photographed in studio recently for an IBMer that just got promoted and needed a new professional image to “look the part”. She’s using the image for LinkedIn as well as on her company profile, so there are many uses for professional head shots! If you don’t have one (especially for LinkedIn) or need to update your current image, give us a call. We have packages that fit every need and budget!
We had a gorgeous young lady come in recently who needed some professional business images and wanted the images with a little bit of a fashion look & feel to them, so what did we do? We broke out the large beauty dish (light modifier), changed to a fashion style lighting pattern, put up a nice high key background that was perfect for the occasion and outfit she had, threw in a flattering pose that worked well for the look she wanted, and there you have it – a gorgeous professional image with hint of fashion! (ok, well it’s not quite that simple) The client was super thrilled with the results. I love a creative challenge and being able to deliver exactly what a client wants when they have something specific in mind. It’s not the camera or the toys, it’s knowing how and when to use them. Love what I do!
An image we created for a local attorney recently who works in down town Raleigh. His firm http://www.klisheldreth.com/ practices in the areas of estate planning, wills, trusts etc. Sharp knowledgeable attorney, if you have a need for those services, I would highly recommend his firm.
Studio head shot for a business professional we photographed recently. A great expression that fit well with his personality. Just one of the many pieces of the puzzle that come together to make a great professional portrait.
William does lots of Linked In specific training for companies and individuals and knows the importance of having a good professional image online to represent your personal or corporate brand. We were going for something a little more contemporary / modern to update his professional image, so we went with a high-key background (lighter tone), but kept with the traditional male head shot pose. This combination works well together and he was more than pleased with the look. You can never go wrong with classic posing and lighting, even when mixed with more modern or contemporary looking backgrounds or settings.
What a pleasure it was working with Patricia on creating her professional business portrait. She’s a high level executive working on polishing up her personal brand online and knew that a professional business portrait was a key piece of the overall professional branding strategy.
Here are a few examples of some recent business portraits we created for clients. One client is a real estate broker, one a senior manager at Cisco and one a senior sales manager. Today professionals need business portrait for various reasons, but primarily to control their personal brand online. Whether you’re representing yourself in a job search scenario or your company to potential clients, most first impressions are made online via profile photos today. Everyone has a profile photo nowadays, the questions is: what does yours say about you? Clients we work with want to make sure they create a great first impression with a polished professional image that represents them appropriately. We love coaching our clients through all the subtle nuances & details required to help create a great professional portrait for them. Our clients use their professional images in a variety of places, but primarily on LinkedIn & other social media sites, company websites, business cards and ads, so we size and output our images appropriately for the specific intended use that each client needs.
