Basic Digital Photography Class!
When: Monday 5/7/18 6:30-9:30pm
Where: 230 Capcom Ave Wake Forest, NC 27587 Ste 107 (just off Main st). Training Your Best Friend Dog Training will be hosting our class.
Who is this Class for: This class is intended for anyone who has a digital slr camera and wants to learn more about how to use it to create better images. If you’re tired of shooting only in auto mode because that’s all you feel comfortable with, this class is for you! We’ll learn how to get out of auto mode and start creating better images with your slr camera. By the way, slr just means that your camera has interchangable lenses, so make sure you have an slr camera for the class.
What’s Covered: Our basic digital slr photography class will focus on the two primary areas that will help you create better images quickly – manual exposure and composition. These are the two areas that will help you take your photos to the next level. We’ll also help you learn how to use the different modes and features on your digital slr camera to help you create better photos.
What’s Included: You’ll get a full color course booklet that you can take notes on and keep with you for future reference. You’ll also get high quality training from a full time professional photographer with over 20 years experience, who has taught photography courses at Wake Tech and NCSU for years, and knows how to make complex concepts simple and easy to understand. You will also get to practice the concepts you’re learning, with in class excercises, to help cement the concepts.
Class size will be limited to make the class more effective, so sign up asap!
How to Sign Up: Just contact us here using our contact form and let us know you want to sign up for the May class. We’ll send you an electronic invoice that you can pay online with a credit card.
What to Bring: Make sure you bring your slr camera, a fully charged battery or two, an empty memory card, your camera manual if you have it, and any other lenses or camera gear that you have.
Other Details: We will need a minimum number pre-registered to run the class and will not invoice you until we have those commitments. If for some reason we don’t run the class, we’ll notify everyone that is pre-registered.
Instructor & Background
Hi I’m Charlie Dickens, the owner of Charles Dickens Photography in Raleigh and I have over 20 years photography experience and have taught photography courses at Wake Technical Community College, NC State University and through my own business for many years.
Why I Love Teaching Photography
I’ve been fortunate and blessed to have learned from some of the top professionals in the world in all aspects of photography over the past couple decades. I also remember those “lightbulb” moments along the way when someone explained complex photography concepts or camera functions in a way that made it easy to understand and allowed me to create better images as a result. I simply love helping people experience those same “ah ha” moments and learn to create better images, no matter what skill level you’re starting with.
